JEAN-PAUL GALASSO, ESQ. Ensuring That You Receive the Treatment – and the Settlement – That You Deserve.

Jean-Paul Galasso, Esq.

Of Counsel

Jean Paul Galasso

Attorney Jean-Paul Galasso began his career working in the corporate sector where his client base included several large corporations such as Swiss Bank, Ernst & Young, Unilever, and Coldwell Banker. As a corporate relocation consultant, he assisted both national and international clients who were looking to make the move to the New York and New Jersey area.

At the same time, Mr. Galasso attended college at Montclair State University in New Jersey. In 1996, he graduated with a B.A. in Sociology before attending the University of Miami School of Law. He graduated from there with honors in 1999 and received his Juris Doctor degree.

During his time at law school, Mr. Galasso interned for the Guardian Ad Litem in Miami, assisting their staff in issues that involved neglected and abused children with cases being brought before the Dependency court. In addition to his work there, he interned at the Office of the United States Bankruptcy Trustee in Miami.

It quickly became apparent to Mr. Galasso that he was most passionate about practicing law in the courtroom, not practicing it from behind a desk.

After graduating law school, Mr. Galasso began working with the State Attorney’s Office for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit as an Assistant State Attorney. He helped conduct jury trials ranging from DUI to murder. Later, he became the Firearms Coordinator with the responsibility of prosecuting serious gun crimes and was then appointed with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida under President Bush’s Project Safe Neighborhoods Initiative. As a Special Assistant United States Attorney in that role, he was responsible for prosecuting cases in federal court that involved violent crimes committed with the use of firearms in interstate commerce and bank robbery.

In 2006, he left government work to become a partner and managing member of the Leskovich Law Group, P.A. As one of the firm’s senior trial attorneys, he has been able to apply his trial and negotiation skills to the practice of civil family law. Throughout the past few years, he has been able to help represent husbands, wives, mothers, and fathers in complex, emotional cases. He has also begun representing clients once more in Dependency Court.

He is admitted to practice in state court throughout Florida, as well as in federal court in the middle district of Florida.
